  • Female-only fitness operator Vivafit enters Kuwaiti market:

    Portugal-based operator Vivafit has taken its female-only franchised concept to Kuwait, with the opening of a health club at the Awtad Shopping Mall in the city of Al Jahra.

    The 400sq m (4,300sq ft) club has two group exercise studios – hosting Vivafit's signature Sbarre, Burn It and FlexIt classes – a personal training studio, changing rooms and a prayer room.
    The class schedule is programmed and updated regularly to avoid classes during praying times.
    Vivafit has signed a master franchise agreement for Kuwait with Team4, a company specialising in franchised operations in the country.
    The entry to the Kuwaiti market is the latest new region for Vivafit, which already has a presence in Taiwan, United Arab Emirates, Oman, Pakistan, Uruguay and Portugal.

  • Vivafit now in Kazakhstan:

    Vivafit, the Portuguese fitness brand for women, opnened in kazakhstan, in the city of Atyrau.
    In Atyrau, Vivafit is providing a range of quick, highly-effective fitness programs including Personal Training, HIIT (High Intensity Interval Training) circuit training, and Pilates classes. 

    The signing ceremony took place at the Portuguese Government trade agency AICEP in Lisbon, Portugal. Was attended by Pedro Ruiz, CEO and co-funder of Vivafit, LevGudimenko and Aigul Zhumagaliyeva franchisees for Atyrau, and was witnessed bu Pedro Pessoa e Costa, the administrator of AICEP the Representative of Kazakhstan Consulate and Miss Portugal Zita Oliveira.

  • Miss Universe Portugal cuts the ribbon of the 1st Vivafit in Indonesia, Jakarta:

    Vivafit opened the first Vivafit in the city of Jakarta , Indonesia on October, 2014.
    The club with 450 m2, has 3 STUDIOS OF 100M2 EACH, 1 PT & TRX STUDIO, NUTRITION CONSULTATION ROOM.The Owner of Vivafit Kebon Jeruk and Master franchisee for All Indonesia: CNI, is the largest network marketing company in Indonesia & Malaysia.
    On the inauguration event were present: Miss Universe Portugal, Abrian Natan (CNI CEO), Pedro Ruiz (Vivafit CEO) and Joaquim Moreira de Lemos (Ambassador of Portugal).

  • Now in Taiwan, Vivafit is growing in Asia:

    The signing ceremony for the agreement was attended by Pedro Ruiz, CEO and co-founder of VIVAFIT, and Andrew Tratz and Joyce Chen, master franchisees for Taiwan, and was witnessed by the Ambassador of Portugal Mr. Joaquim Moreira de Lemos and Patrícia da Silva, Miss Universe Portugal  and worldwide brand ambassador for VIVAFIT.
    Joyce Chen said, “VIVAFIT has tremendous potential in Taiwan, and will be the first fitness boutique studio of its kind to offer women a full range of fitness and nutrition options in convenient locations close to home or work. We’re very excited to launch the brand in Taiwan and will open the first gym in Taipei’s Zhongxiao Fuxing neighborhood in time for Chinese New Year in 2015.
    Pedro Ruiz explained, “What we’ve discovered in our VIVAFIT gyms around the world is Vivafit_In_Taiwan that women want to be active and eat healthy diets but also want to ensure the time they spend is efficient and gets them the results they are looking for. Our experience is that thirty minutes at a VIVAFIT gym several times a week along with a change in eating habits guarantees women will rapidly change their bodies.”
    Ruiz added that this approach has been very popular and effective at VIVAFIT locations worldwide, allowing the company to grow from its origin in Portugal to new markets including India, Singapore, Uruguay, and the Middle East. With its recent opening in Indonesia and upcoming launch in Taiwan, VIVAFIT is poised to continue its rapid expansion in Asia.
    Andrew Tratz stated, “In addition to the opening of VIVAFIT’s Taipei flagship location, we plan to open a second location in the Greater Taipei area later in 2015. Once the business is firmly established in Taipei we will expand to other cities in Taiwan, with a target to have 150 successful gyms opened by 2020.”

  • First Vivafit in Oman:

    On November the 4th, on 2014, the Princess Al Shaikka Naama Mustahail Al Mashani cuted the ribbon of the 1st Vivafit in Oman. The ambassador of Portugal Fernando Araujo, Vivafit Master Franchisee Khadija Alkhonji, and Vivafit Portugal CEO Pedro Ruiz also assisted the event. Vivafit Shatti is located in the embassies neighbourhood of Muscat. This business started when Pedro Ruiz visited Muscat in a Portuguese Government trade mission headed by Paulo Portas, now Deputy Prime Minister of Portugal. Alkhonji has recruitedFirst Vivafit in Oman 3 instructors and one manager from Portugal, all with long Vivafit experience. During the first hour the 10 first founding members joined Vivafit Khadija Alkhonji explains that “Vivafit is an advanced fitness centre created for women who want to have fast and lasting results. The center’s 30 minute High Intensity Interval Training is aimed at busy women in Muscat. It is a place where women will discover their ME-SPACE and feel good about them!” Vivafit Co-founder, Pedro Ruiz, said he is very satisfied with the entry in the Middle East, having already one club open in Abu Dhabi, and a 2 clubs under construction in Saudi Arabia, and considers that the Portuguese brand may join another Persian Gulf country in the next months.”
